Kally and her Turtle Friend

Kally, her sister Jaycee and her family along with her turtle friend all made a journey to the 4 corners. She is standing on a marker where Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico all meet. They are standing in 4 states at one time!

Journey and Adventure went swimming...

Today Journey and Adventure went to Ala Moana beach just west of downtown Honolulu. They had fun learning to swim and basking in the sun! Was a great day to just relax and enjoy our summer! They cannot believe that they have already been here a week, the time is just flying by! They hope that you and your turtle friends send stories about what you are doing so we can post them on the class blog! I hope you are all well! Mr. Lonie :)

Journey and Adventure found a new friend...

Today I was fortunate enough to go to what the locals call, Turtle Beach! And look what we found, a Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle basking in the sun! We had a lot of fun today! I learned that if there is no reef, the water is colder than if there was a reef. I guess the reef helps to warm the water on some of the other beaches. Where we were there was no reef so the colder sea water came right up on shore! I hope you are all doing well! I miss you all!!!

Made it to Hawaii

Journey and Adventure traveled 1,800 miles today, spent 7 hours on the airplane and landed safe and sound in Honolulu Hawaii! We are headed to a carnival tomorrow, we went to a Luau today, and hopefully we will get to see some of our real life relatives here soon! We hope you all are doing well! We will post again soon, we hope you like our picture with the Plumeria flower, it is a native flower of Hawaii!

Journey and Adventure

Well, it has been a couple of weeks since school let out, and Journey and Adventure have been very busy just helping Mr. Lonie in getting things done around his house! They are very excited about their trip next week, they have never been on an airplane, so they are a little nervous but I think they will do just fine! I have got to see many of you in High Hoppers, or in the neighborhoods and that has been great! Do not forget to email me stories and attach pictures of you and your turtle so I can post it on our blog! Journey and Adventure wanted you to know that they will for sure upload a new picture from Hawaii! They hope to meet some of their real life relatives while they are there! I hope you are all having a great time, and I hope to hear from you soon! Mr. Lonie :)

PS: They keep waiting to go the pool, but it has been raining so much that it has not been pool weather! So they look out the window and wait patiently!

Look at the frog I found!

This little guy was hiding all winter in my Dad's pond, and we opened it up today, and there he was! He is living now with the fish! Its Mr. Hoppy's cousin, or so we think!

Savanna and Turtles Story

Turtles went to dinner last night at Red Robin and then went home. When Turtles got home she got ready for bed and then watched Shark Tales. After watching Shark Tales Turtles went strait to bed and got a good night sleep in the deep blue sea. When she woke up this morning she was worried abot her friends and wanted to call them. So I said Turtles there is no need to worry, they are all safe at home in there sea's!

Journey has a new friend...

Okay friends. We never named Journey's new friend! I heard 'Adventure' as an idea. Email me any ideas you have or if you like Adventure so we make sure his new friend gets named! I hope you all have started your break on the right foot and are relaxing! Make sure to take your turtles with you and email me pictures and stories so I can post them on our class blog! 3rd Grade 2008-2009
